In January, I took a writing class called The Art of Writing about your Experiences with a local writing with a creative nonfiction nonprofit in Raleigh, NC. It was challenging and supportive. My instructor Rachel offered years of expertise and feedback on each of our homework assignments. One week we had to do a product review of something we bought recently, and these sconces were an easy choice because we love them.
Looking for wall-mounted sconces without complicating wiring and wall damage-
Meet the Terleenart Sconce from Amazon
This pair of wall sconces are simple to install, aesthetic, and come in under –*.
These wall sconces were exactly what we were hoping for when searching for some extra light for our living room. This was our first rechargeable light purchase, and I was nervous we would regret it – mostly concerned that they wouldn’t hold a charge. They were bought to go on each side of our Frame TV, and since we had already done quite a bit of damage attaching the Frame to the wall, we wanted something a little less permanent. We are so glad we went this route. They were very easy to setup, as they require no wiring or electric. They are easy to turn on either by the remote or by button on the light bulb itself. The sconces have multiple modes and brightness. I usually stay on the warm light setting, but there are 15 light color options, 10 shades of brightness, as well as a timer and memory setting I haven’t even explored. It’s worth mentioning, we don’t turn these lamps on every day. We probably use them 2-3 times a week, or more if we have company. We charge them about twice a month. We plug them in overnight and usually they are ready by mid-morning the next day. Of the various styles available, we purchased the Antique Brass sconces. Although it is clear they aren’t real brass, these sconces are still quality and lovely for the price. At –*, you would be hard pressed to find real brass for anything under $150 – just for one. They are aesthetic, easy to charge, hold a charge for multiple uses, a breeze to hang, and add cozy lighting to the front room of our mid-century home that does not have any overhead lighting. When we move to another home one day, those boys are coming with us—and thankfully without regrettable damage to the wall. After 8 months of use, I bought another set of rechargeable sconces for our boys’ room and they have also not let us down.
*I have to edit out prices because I am an Amazon Affiliate. One of the reasons they ask us to do this is because prices change. In fact, these sconces went up in price since I originally wrote this in February.
Stay tuned…
I have a few other lighting options that I would like to share as well as a book review on My Dear Hemlock– but don’t wait around for me its been such a convicting, time-worthy read.
